The Czech Olympic Committee (Czech NOC) was established on May 18, 1899. In accordance with the Olympic Charter, its mission is to develop and promote the Olympic values and ideals, and arrange the representation of the Czech Republic at Olympic Games. On the basis of recognition by the International Olympic Committee, it is the only entity authorized to manage the Olympic Movement in the Czech Republic. The Czech NOC represents the interests of Czech sport within the international Olympic Movement. It undertakes publicaly beneficial activities in support of Czech sport and, in particular, its members. In these activities it works with all sport entities.
