Czech Music, Dancing and Cuisine

The Embassy of the Czech Republic and the International Club of DC will hold an evening of Czech music, dancing, and cuisine at the Czech Embassy on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 6:30pm. Enjoy a buffet dinner and live music by Orchester Praževica to honor Eliška Junková, the Queen of the Steering Wheel and the inspiration behind Jaroslav Ježek’s classical jazz composition, the "Bugatti Step.” Group swing lessons will be offered.
About the International Club of DC
The International Club of DC Inc. offers international cultural experiences including art, music, dance, and theatre as well as the opportunity to sample culinary delicacies from around the world in Washington, DC. Its diverse membership of over 47,000 professionals represent over 90 countries. The club collaborates with over 80 embassies in Washington, DC, to present concerts, festivals, galas, and receptions to its members.

About the Festival:
The Mutual Inspirations Festival (MIF) is an annual initiative spearheaded by the Embassy of the Czech Republic, focusing on the mutual inspirations between Czech and American cultures and featuring each year an extraordinary Czech personality who has greatly influenced and inspired others through his or her work. Now in its 14th year, the Mutual Inspirations Festival 2023 celebrates the life of female racer and trailblazer Eliška Junková.
Running from September – November 2023, the festival brings inspiring events to the Washington, DC community and beyond.
