A Note from the Ambassador

A Note from the Ambassador

The arts are back. After the long pause caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, I am optimistic that this year will see a revival of the arts worldwide. At the Czech Embassy, we hope to be part of this boom by taking inspiration from two of the most renowned Czech playwrights, comedians, and performers of intellectual humor, Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich.

The Mutual Inspirations Festival 2022 – Voskovec & Werich will build upon legacy as well as today’s thirst to see and experience art, theater, film, and dance. Voskovec and Werich are the embodiment of artistic success on either side of the Atlantic, which we hope inspires new collaborations and enriches the arts. We look forward to seeing you at our events!
