Talk: The Transatlantic Battlefront of Voskovec and Werich

The Czech Embassy welcomed expert sound archivist Filip Šír from the National Museum in Prague on September 28. Before an engaged audience, he gave a talk on The Transatlantic Battlefront of Voskovec and Werich, which featured radio recordings. 

 

Šír's work is specifically based on research, archival evidence, and documentary activities connected with V+W’s work, and later preservation of their wartime recordings which were recorded on discs that were broadcasted by the BBC and Voice of America under the U.S. Office of War Information.
